Neko Saga

Neko Saga is a fun new Ninja vs Samurai game. You play as a Samurai cat fighting against the hordes of animal ninjas. One of the things I Like about this game is that you can create your own combos in the dojo to use in the game. You need to build up ’soul’ by defeating enemies before you can buy new moves to put into your combo, and you can also build up chi for special chiball attacks. It’s a bit too easy in places if you ask me, but apart from that its one of the best flash fighting games I’ve played in ages.

Occident Warrior

Occident Warrior is an interesting little free flash game with a kind of unique concept that takes an anime style hero (and general graphics) but then puts him up against western, or occidental enemies to fight, from French Musketeers to British Redcoats and Robin Hood style archers. Although you can do combinations there is only one attack button, meaning that weapon skill doesn’t go much further than button bashing, but there is still some skill in keeping out of trouble and finding the right moment to attack so overall I found it quite fun to play. My tip is to try to get your enemies standing close together in a group so that you can hit them all with the same strike.

Gerba Deadly Revenge

In this side scrolling action game you are armed with a sword and you can shoot out throwing stars too. I found it a real challenge to be precise enough with my timing, but the idea is to deflect things that are thrown or shot at you with your sword so that you can get close enough for the kill. There’s a fairly detailed story, about a poisoned emperor and your mission to find the anitdote and kill the assassin’s, and it can be quite addictive to play.
