Final Fatasy X Review

The Final Fantasy series is a timeless and ingenious one. It continues to feed gamers with incredible graphics and strategic game play with every new installment. Final Fantasy was created by a well-known Japanese video game developing company called SquareEnix.

Of course, every single Final Fantasy game has been a public hit, but there was one Final Fantasy game that is very easy to fall in love with. Final Fantasy X (10) captures the ultimate Fantastical vibe. The monsters were awesome-looking, along with the evolutional in-game graphics. In this RPG video game, you play as a boy named Tidus (default). Tidus is a famous Blitz Ball player whose city of Zanarkand is destroyed by a monstrous creature named Sin. He is then transported to the foreign world of Spira. Tidus is now a frightened little boy whose only option is to find his way back to Zanarkand.

Final Fantasy X has a turn-based combat system, which may not appeal to those who lack brains. Turn-based fighting systems basically work like this: You hit him. He hits you. A person who plays this game cannot rely on reflexes and button-mashing techniques. When you fight an enemy in Final Fantasy X, you really have to think about what your next move ought to be. You can upgrade your characters’ skills and abilities, and that’s about it. There is no way to purposely block an opponent’s attack. When fighting an enemy in this game, you must think brains, not brawns.

Final Fantasy X is the first game in the franchise to feature voices. If you understand Japanese and have a Japanese version of this game, count yourself lucky because the voices are transmitted flawlessly on this version. However, the same cannot be said for the English version of the game. One of the voice actors did a horrible job (the voice actor portraying Yuna is unbearable to listen to).

Like every other Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy X is a long game. This promotes a challenge for gamers and strengthens their thought process, due to the battle system. Even if you are not fond of long games, Final Fantasy X will still interest you. The game sucks you in and never lets go. With its beautiful cinema cut scenes, interesting storyline, and butt-kicking characters, rest assured that the game’s length will not alter your fondness for it.

Final Fantasy X’s only flaw is Yuna’s lame English dubs. But besides that, the game is recommended for everyone. It has magical cinema, settings, music, and characters. It is a perfect example of an excellent story told in riveting fashion.

5 out of 5 stars!
