You take control of an old WW1 fighter plane in this ace free shooting game (get it -ace - that’s what they called the top fighter pilots, lol). You use the arrow keys to move around, space to fire your machine gun and shift to drop bombs. You can also use various evasive manouvers to confuse your enemies, such as a tight loop, making use of cloud cover, or pretending to be hit by diving towards the ground. There are various missions for you to complete with different enemies, and it is quite tricky.

Choose between playing as the British or German army in world war one, then create waves of various kinds of troops (gunners, snipers, officers etc) to occupy your trenches and ultimately to go over the top and atack your enemies entrenched positions. You can also build tanks later on in the game, and you can call in air bomber support and gas attacks. One interesting aspect of this free WW1 game is that you can win by taking your enemies morale down to 0 by bombarding their positions, or by actually taking territory:
